About Us...

The concept for Painted Porch is an acoustic, sing along group that plays songs people know and then between tunes talks about life lessons and music. Painted Porch is borrowed from the Stoic heritage and was the place they used to gather and pontificate. We’re the guys you want to invite over to sit around your campfire.

What sets us apart is our songs and our cause… You see, we only do acoustic covers of songs many of us grew up with. And we often do them with unique arrangements. So while you’ll definitely know the song, you may be hearing it in a totally different way.

And we’re proud of our “cause.” Painted Porch only plays for charity. In our first year we've played over 20 venues and raised over $14,000 for charities right here in Eastern Iowa!

We do what we do because we love it, and if we can raise some money for good causes while having a great time then we’re all in!

“...Thank you again for being a part of Literary Giants! The music was so incredible! You both made such a difference in the quality of the event, and I am so grateful. With your help, we were able to raise funds and awareness for Shelter House, which is so important, especially these days with the challenges we face. Thank you again for sharing your talents in support of Shelter House…”

“…We were all blown away by these guys' performance at the Coralville American Legion Post 721! They're so talented! Then they played and donated both their time playing and their tips afterwards, to the Coralville Legion! If you get a chance to see them, be sure to go and you will be amazed at how great they are!...”
